Confidentiality Agreement
Respecting the privacy of our clients, donors, members, staff, volunteers and of Drive Grace itself is a basic value of Drive Grace. Board members, staff, and volunteers of Drive Grace shall not discuss or disclose information identified as confidential about Drive Grace or its activities to any person or entity unless such information is already a matter of public knowledge, such person or entity has a need to know, or the disclosure of such information is in furtherance of the corporations’ purposes, or can reasonably be expected to benefit the corporation.
Care shall also be taken to ensure that unauthorized individuals do not overhear any discussion of confidential information and that documents containing confidential information are not left in the open or inadvertently shared.
Board members, staff, and volunteers of Drive Grace may be exposed to information which is confidential and/or privileged and proprietary in nature. It is the policy of Drive Grace that such information must be kept confidential both during and after employment or volunteer service. Staff and volunteers, including board members, are expected to return materials containing privileged or confidential information at the time of separation from employment or expiration of service. Unauthorized disclosure of confidential or privileged information is a serious violation of this policy and will subject the person(s) who made the unauthorized disclosure to appropriate discipline, including removal/dismissal.
Board members, staff, and volunteers shall use discretion and good business judgment in discussing the affairs of Drive Grace with third parties. Without limiting the foregoing, board members, staff, and volunteers may discuss upcoming fundraisers and the purposes and functions of the Drive Grace, including but not limited to accounts on deposit in financial institutions.
Board members, staff, and volunteers shall sign a confidentiality agreement consistent herewith upon being voted onto and accepting appointment to the board of directors. The confidentiality agreement shall also be in effect and require signature for each board member, staff member, and volunteer of Drive Grace.
